1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Uzzina, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service. Your use of Uzzina constitutes your acceptance of these terms, our Privacy Policy, and any future updates to these terms.

2. Account Registration & Eligibility

To use Uzzina, you must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate, complete information during registration. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and are liable for all activities that occur under your account.

You agree to:

• Provide true and accurate information
• Update your information as needed
• Keep your password secure and confidential
• Notify us immediately of unauthorized access
• Accept responsibility for all account activities

3. User Responsibilities & Prohibited Conduct

You agree to use Uzzina only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe upon the rights of others or restrict their use and enjoyment. You specifically agree NOT to:

• Use the platform for any illegal activities or fraud
• Harass, abuse, or cause distress to other users
• Transmit hate speech, obscene, offensive, or defamatory content
• Post discriminatory content based on race, gender, religion, or sexual orientation
• Disrupt normal platform functionality or other users' experience
• Attempt unauthorized access to systems or user accounts
• Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to manipulate the platform
• Engage in price manipulation or artificial inflation of event popularity
• Resell tickets in violation of event organizer restrictions
• Scrape data or reverse-engineer the platform

Violations may result in account suspension or permanent ban, and we reserve the right to report illegal activity to authorities.

4. Tickets & Event Purchases

When you purchase tickets through Uzzina:

• All ticket purchases are processed through Paystack and are subject to their terms
• Tickets are non-refundable unless the event organizer explicitly allows refunds
• Free tickets may be cancelled by organizers without notice
• Uzzina is NOT responsible for event cancellations, postponements, or venue changes made by organizers
• You are responsible for entering correct personal information on your ticket
• Tickets are non-transferable unless stated otherwise by the organizer
• You agree to comply with event venue rules, age restrictions, and dress codes

For refund requests related to event cancellations or organizer issues, contact us within 14 days of the event with proof of purchase.

5. Referral & Commission Terms

If you participate in our referral or ambassador programs:

• Referral commissions are earned only on completed, non-refunded transactions
• Commissions are calculated and paid according to the organizer's specified rate
• Uzzina retains a platform fee from all transactions (typically 15-20% of ticket price)
• Payouts are processed monthly via your specified payment method
• Fraudulent referral activity will result in forfeiture of all earned commissions
• Organizers can adjust commission rates or end referral programs with 14 days notice

6. Marketplace & Seller Policies

Organizers and marketplace sellers agree to:

• Provide accurate product/event descriptions and pricing
• Honor refund policies stated at time of purchase
• Respond to customer inquiries within 48 hours
• Not list counterfeit, stolen, or illegal items
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
• Not engage in price gouging or exploitative practices

Uzzina reserves the right to remove listings and suspend seller accounts that violate these policies.

7. Intellectual Property Rights

All content on Uzzina (logos, design, text, graphics, code) is owned by Uzzina or licensed partners. You may not:

• Copy, reproduce, or distribute our content without permission
• Modify or create derivative works from our platform
• Use our branding or trademarks without authorization

User-generated content (posts, comments, images) remains your property, but you grant Uzzina a license to use, display, and distribute it on the platform.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW: Uzzina is provided "as-is" without warranties of any kind. Uzzina shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages including lost profits, data loss, or business interruption resulting from your use or inability to use the service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to Uzzina in the past 12 months.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Uzzina, its owners, operators, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your violation of these terms, your use of the platform, or infringement of others' rights.

10. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from your use of Uzzina shall be resolved through:

1. Good faith negotiation between parties
2. Mediation through Uzzina support team
3. Binding arbitration if negotiation fails

You waive your right to pursue class action lawsuits against Uzzina.

11. Modifications to Terms & Service

Uzzina reserves the right to modify these terms, pricing, and service features at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or platform notification. Your continued use after notification constitutes acceptance of updated terms. We also reserve the right to suspend or discontinue the service with 30 days notice.

12. Data & Privacy

Your use of Uzzina is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the platform, you consent to our collection, use, and processing of your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy. We use your data to provide services, prevent fraud, and improve our platform.

13. Third-Party Services

Uzzina integrates with third-party services (Paystack, Supabase, Resend) that have their own terms of service. Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms, and we are not liable for their actions or failures.

15. Severability
